I recently bought this fuel pump and was very suprised by its size... i just never realized they were this small. i guess my perception of all the pictures i have seen made them seem 2-3x this size in my head...
i do have the correct pump for my BN2 don't i, size wise?

yep, that looks like the right pump. even the corrosion looks original.
