"Why's my car overheating all-of-a-sudden?!?!"

That stuff is a constant source of amusement for me. The aftermarket groups have had to change from performance enhancement due to emissions reg's and such, to offering "exterior embellishment" stuff.

Saw a Hummer the other day with wheel/tire combo making it look like a four-year-old child's vision of the ultimate Hot Wheels toy. Replete with chrome stick-on "Buick" hood ports. C.G. HAD to be 7' off the ground.

...IMO, it all resembles afterbirth. :smirk:

Folks have always customized for looks, but the trucks make me laugh. Going with the huge wheels and low profile tires on a truck makes it not only ugly, but substantially less useful as well. Folks wonder why their F-350 with the huge wheels can't tow or haul without breaking the tires. Fashion has never been rational.

Styling is not to dated when you see all the bling mobiles of today

+1 was at my mechanic about a year ago - had a Land Rover on his lot - kid had huge wheels, hit a curb, broke a wheel and they had to order a new on from California - plus of course, what kind of spare goes with those rims.

There is a Blinged out Toyota FJ in the neigbourhood that is just nasty - I'll try to get a pic.
