When I try to get online at the house I don't have a good signal. My phone asks me if I want to tie into my wireless network. My question is will this cost me? I have "unlimited data" but I didn't buy any jigabytes to tether my laptop to my phone. Is this considered tethering? I would think sprint wouldn't care if my phone used my wireless network.

As I understand when the iPhone has a wireless connection it does not go against your data plan

Don nailed it -- using the WIFI will not cost you anything as far as your phone plan goes. If I'm around my house I'll usually switch to the WIFI to save my cell phone data plan for when I need it.

Congrats on the new phone, it's a useful tool.

Also check for WIFI access every where you go. There is a lot of free WIFI out there.

Isn't that a hazzard though?
Can be, depending on the situation. For the most part while out and about the cell-based internet is a bit safer. Public WIFI is fine for non-secure work, but I wouldn't check my bank balances on it. Too easy to do a man-in-the-middle attack and sniff out your account information.
