Just a hint: Wash and dry feeder inside and out. Mix water/sugar mixture, boil it, cool, add to feeder.

We wash and dry our feeders regularly to keep them clean. We make the nectar ahead of time and keep in cool in small plastic (clean) coke bottles.

Our hummingbirds like to feed from these test tube feeders called "Tweeter Totters".

So that's where are the birds went. We usually have several humming birds here in NY finger lakes region. Almost none this year. They do migrate. We see them April to Sept or so.
