Introduction

Either LH drive or RH drive.

Just loosen the clamping screw and rotate the entire filler cap until the release button is on the driver's side of the car, whichever side that might be, if ya really wanna be totally "correct".

This is actually true, but I just hope my tongue-in-cheek came through in both this and my original post. I'm thinking there was a little in your response, too!

I'd venture to guess there are more RH drive TR4s around today than were ever built in the factory. Especially the first few years of production, the vast majority were built LH drive and exported. Now there seem to be quite a few 4s being repatriated to the UK and converted to RH drive.

Cheers!

Alan

And don't be surprised at a little leg-pulling here and there......there are a few characters who should never be taken seriously.

I resemble that remark! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Hi Neighbor,
Having been a TR4 (12 years and SCCA club racing)owner myself, I think you should hang around this bunch for awhile. Every car should have a little "personal" personality. I have since moved on to a '67 Etype and have added improvements not being particularly stock, but, they did make it safer and perform better.
Hang in there and stay awhile!

Welcome George, nice TR4, I'm still trying to get the one I sold 20 years ago back, it's setting in a field and the only part not rusting away is the ground effects and air dam I made for it out of fiber glass, so not being stock is nothing new. I can remember a time that if you had your bumpers on the car it wasn't cool. I think I just dated myself with you and old George. Bye now. Wayne

George,

Welcome aborad. I haven't seen this many people roll out the welcome mat for someone in a long time. Oh and by the way thats a rather nice looking TR4, pure enough for my tastes.

Welcome! I am also a newcomer, and have nothing but great things to say about all that have helped out with my questions so far. I think that you will find that no matter whether someone is a purist, mod-monster, or anything in between, they are more than happy to help and share stories and experience. Nice looking TR BTW. I personally, am an MG Midget guy, but my cousin is a big Triumph guy, and has a great looking 6!

George, A little late, but just wanted to say hello. I think your car looks really nice as it is. If you wanted to restore it to original then I'd still say it looks really nice! The important thing is to enjoy it and have fun, and that's what we try to do here.

Welcome,
