Hi,
I am the proud owner of a 1968 Austin Healey Sprite 1275 that is called, 'Little Black Car' (LBC). It is currently off road and awaiting transfer of parts onto a new Heritage shell bought from my retirement funds. Currently living in North Wales with a large, drafty and wet 'shed' to fix it in. The first winter I was here LBC had its roof down hiding under cover and became buried under a snow drift falling through the the ridge vents in the shed. The shed is really a 50ft x 60ft barn with ventilated metal panels topping a breeze block wall that sits on a concrete base. It may sound good but wind and water gets in everywhere there is a joint in the building.
Before I retired and took it off the road it was enjoyable daily transport that never let me down although I did 'play' with the mechanicals on a regular basis. I was weaned on Land Rovers so I had to get a reasonably comprehensive mechanical training to keep those moving and possess a set of different sized hammers for every repair problem.
That is a skim of the top of my history but I've got to remember that I'm at least 2/3rds the way through my life but it only feels like 1/3rd....

Hello GuideA

Welcome to the forum.

You will get plenty of tips and advice for your Sprite project in the Spridget section of the forum. Sounds like you have an interesting location to work in. Post some photos of the area and your Sprite.

Always wanted a Land Rover when I lived in the UK but never found the right one.
