I got an email asking me to introduce myself.
As I try to be a nice guy, I'll comply
How does one go about introducing themselves to complete strangers, albeit strangers with a shared interest.
I own and operate a Land Rover shop and import parts from UK.
I previously spent 19 years as an EH&S compliance engineer, beginning by working in environmental testing labs and somehow ended up owning a small testing lab.
I got into Rovers when my Chevy S-10 Blazer finally died after 197K miles and I needed a better four-wheel drive.
Somehow, buying a 1995 Discovery somehow turned into throwing aside a long-term career with a cushy office job in a factory into becoming a starving artist.
I currently own 21 Land Rovers, 11 Range Rover Classics, five or six Series One Discoverys, a few Series II Discoverys, three P38 Range Rovers and a LOT of parts for Series trucks. Now you know why I'm an importer-LOL
My primary education is in chemistry and corporate finance with a bunch of emergency response and rescue training along with more Quality Training than most would ever need, I'm an ISO/QS9XXX internal auditor and am a Lead Auditor to ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
My shop is pretty well equipped with a four-post lift, two TIG welders, three MIG welders, plasma cutter, an Ironworker, sheetmetal brake, three tubing benders, four lathes and two mills.
Thanx for letting me join guys, I'll try not to lurk, but I'm a busy guy trying to earn a living.
