I have lurked around here for a couple of months and have even posted a few things, however I feel a proper introduction is in order. My name is Terryl Cozart. I am from Tupelo, MS, better known as the birth place of Elvis Presley (Thankew Thankewverymuch.) I acquired my 76 TR7 2 years ago in sad shape. The engine hadn't run in several years and the interior was shot. The body was straight, but painted black (peeling paint at that.) I pulled the engine and trans and have been parting out and selling for whatever I could get for them. I had settled on droping in an SHO engine out of a Taurus, but I'm having second thoughts. Might go with a 5.0 out of a Mustang, I don't know. Anyway, my reason for posting this is to ask a question. Does anyone know where I can find a new spare tire wheel well out of the trunk? Mine has rotted out and I need to replace soon. No one seems to carry it. Any suggestions?

Hmmm, S&S doesn't list it available as a new item, so chances are, its not available at all.

If you have a good cordless drill and a bit for drilling out 3/8 inch spot welds, a scraper and some safety glasses, you could pull the spare wheel well out of a car in a salvage yard in about 20 min. 10 min of that would be digging seam sealer off the seam where it is welded to the rear bulkhead.
