Internet problems?

For the last week or so, I've found BCF, GMail, Google, BBC, leMonde, The Times, and smaller websites unreachable. The error is usually "Server cannot be reached", "Server took too long to respond", or "Server IP address could not be found".

The problem lasts for over an hour (if late at night) or only a few minutes (if during the daytime here in eastern USA).

ThousandEyes gives a good overview of the outages, but doesn't give any causes.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with various websites recently?

Thanks.
Tom M.

No issues here.

hmmm - sounds like my ISP (Spectrum) may be the problem, if other regions are doing ok. Dozens of complaints about Spectrum outages on social media like FB, Instagram, etc. As Spectrum has made it nearly impossible to reach a human being in customer service, and their "bots" are useless in outages, seems there's nothing we poor lowly customers can do.

We're in their (Spectrum) clutches as well. They "piggyback" on Verizon's fiber network here, haven't had many issues. But when there's a drop it's usually total disconnect and getting info becomes nearly impossible.
