The body certainly looks to be in great shape in that Herald and it lines up well, which is not easy. I can't imagine that there is any rust in the body or chassis. However, it is missing its white rubber bumpers and the dash board is a home-made plank. The seats have been nicely recovered, but they were never available with the different coloured piping. It is a shame that they did not do the door trims to match when they did the seats. It would not take a lot to bring the car up to a good standard.
$9,900 is close to ÂŁ5,000 which would buy you a perfect Herald convertible over here. A really good one would sell for about ÂŁ3,500.
Maybe there is a business opportunity here. Importing TRs from the USA to the UK and importing Heralds, Vitesses and various other Triumphs from the UK to the USA. That would be a nice way to make a living!
