Interior Recommendation

Guys, I would really appreciate any recommendation on who to buy a replacement interior from. Building a nice driver quality 3000, so functionality and durability are part of the consideration. Will go with leather seats. Budget also part of the equation. Any feedback greatly appreciated.

Thanks :smile-new:

When I did mine I went with leather fronts and vinyl backs. It's very hard to tell the difference since the colors match up and it was less expensive than a full leather seat. Just a thought.

Stock is leather front and vinyl back. I got mine from Moss (years ago), and they've been fine. Not spectacular like a Heritage Upholstery interior, but good enough for a driver.

It also depends on the color. I used leather for the seats but the leather is darker and the vinyl is brighter. The colors are close but when sewn side by side the difference is noticable. Our interior is the dark blue as factory.

Hey Bill,
I have used Heritage, Moss, AH Spares and John Skinner over the past years. Heritage is certainly the best but a close second would be John Skinner or AH Spares. I have always thought Moss cuts their patterns so close to save waste or actual leather/vinyl that you need to be careful when installing. Seat bottoms were troublesome. If you're doing a red interior, most seem to have a more burgundy red than what I understand was more correct for Healey's- a "red" red, not bright red but not burgundy either. I just installed new seats and door panels from John Skinner in my 100M and they have a truer red which to me seemed correct. Since I did just do this you will have pay about $100 for shipping to US from UK but make it up on the purchase price.
Good luck,
Mike

I got some from AH Spares which fitted really well. Heritage are probably the best but also the most expensive and can be a bit difficult to contact. Rich C always used them so that tells you something. I only live about 20 miles from Skinners so I'll have to go down and have a look at what they do. To be honest I had not heard of them until about 6 months ago.
