I'm trying to figure out what I want to do interior wise on the 73. Everything is going to be new as It had virtually nothing in it when I got it including floors.

So far I'm torn between doing a black stock interior with moss's molded carpet kit and panels and prestige leather seats which would be the same as my 75 or doing something different and going with a light tan interior.

I know prestige makes a kit in the color I like but with different style door panels than stock and a non molded carpet kit. Are there any other companies out there that make a light tan panels in the original style along with good quality carpet preferably with molded tunnel?

Also how hard is it to install a non molded tunnel carpet if I do go that way?

Fiero seats in biscuit leather! With Fiero armrests.

Tony - Nice!!

Who do you gotta know to get a center console like that?
Black or Biscuit.

Its just a stock MGB console painted/dyed biscuit!

I used to have a console, I liked it.
That was in my Primrose 69 GT. The one that was obliterated by a huge Alaskan Pickup truck then the wreck of it was stolen so I couldn't even salvage any parts.

So, where does one find a nice console like that?
(BTW - my IRS direct deposit is coming in about a week so lets freshen up my wish list ok?)

hehehehe....I might have a good used one laying around - but it won't fit in a Midget!

That's OK Tony, I have a couple GT's here too!
I'd love to redo the interior of my 70 GT, but I probably should take care of exterior problems first and definitely need to clean out that drain tube so the water stops getting in.

& Moss sells them new!

Oooh! I like those Fiero seats. However, I'm too much of a traditionalist/preservationist. I don't think I could bring myself to do that.

I'll bet they are comfy though.
Knowing what my Midget is like, in the non-traditional POV, it could use seats like that no problem!

Stewart, These are Suffolk seats in biscuit leather. This shot was taken during restoration. I don't know where you could get a more comfortable set of seats than these. Not cheap, around 1800 bucks. The color is slightly off as the photo was taken with a 35MM camera then scanned.

The moss tan kit is very nice but it blows my budget out of the water. I'm going to have to see if moss will sell the carpet and the panels and door caps separate. I am also starting to like the idea of a Guinness interior.

Don't shoot me as I'm just thinking out loud but has anyone done a tan dash?

I've been drooling over the Suffolk seats for a while and if I were to buy a pair they would be going strait into the 75 as they are much to nice for the 73 and are also about 3 times what I paid for the 73 which is going to be a fair weather daily driver.

Tony sent you a pm

The dash from the car that has the Fiero seats is in the upholstery shop being painted/dyed Biscuit...everything in the interior will be Biscuit except for Chocolate Brown carpet.

Tony, when you get the dash back, please take some shots of it so we can see what it looks like in biscuit. I would bet it's going to look real sharp!
