This gadget just attaches to the mirror post coming up from the dash. There is a four wire connector on the back of the radio that plugs into a harness running up thru the mirror support bracket. The wiring is all neatly done, so it sure looks like an installed by dealer setup. It even has an old speaker under the dash.....

Looks very small for a radio of that period... but that's about when the transistor was first getting widespread use. Will be interesting to see if it still works.
A Google reveals it may have been made in Italy by "Fabbrica Apparecchi Radio e Televisione". Do you suppose they just used the logical acronym?

Nifty little radio. With it being of the right vintage I think I'd try to get it working and keep it in the car. Cool find.

As I dismantle this car further, I think I'm going to go right thru it like I did my TR-6. Body off, the whole works. I'll include getting this radio to work if I can, as I do think it's a cool addition to the car....
