It says 1965 Sprite.
If so there are modifications.
Not a bad looking car for $1750

I put it all up here as the ad might get 'shot down' soon. I have no connection to this whatsoever.

I've talked with him a bit, he bought the car at auction so doesn't know about it's history.
How or why it got the round wheel arches? How professionally done they are? etc...

He says it has one spot of bubbly paint, sounds like the bottom of the A post on the drivers side.

He said he's got 6 people lined up to come see it tomorrow morning, but he is interested in what I have to trade -

I told him I'd need to see a lot more pictures before I knew what to offer, I know I've got stuff he would like to have but it depends on the condition of the car for me. I don't mind it's modified, but I don't need a rust bucket.

I saw this one too. No matter what, it could turn out to be a decent deal for someone. Great price!

It's like property values though; if he sells that car for that price, it's killing me trying to sell my Midget for what I am asking. :frown:

JACK

Apples & Oranges Jack.
I agree about values to a point, but that car has had some significant body modification and doesn't have the power plant that yours does.

That is sad. :frown:

Oh, lordy, lordy.....

Is that bonnet a commercial product that existed in some benighted era of history, or just the result of one man's...errr...creativity?

As for the price, what's the problem? The car's in great shape--just needs to be "cleaned up" a wee bit...

At least is has a nice looking hardtop....
If you double click the photo of the blue car on craigslist, it actually takes you the Photobucket album. Not sure if Alice wanted to share all of that, but it is a good lesson on losing privacy for everyone who shares pictures with Photobucket.
