Interesting Road Trip, Midget Hardtop & Miffed

I'd like to find a TF. I like the looks of 'em.

Or maybe he needs a seperate room to display all the factory type hardtops made.

I've a 22x18 area between the Garage-Mahal & my little storage garage that I'll be concreting & enclosing in the Spring just as a storage area for my Midgets...it'll open up space in the Garage-Mahal for other cars

Have you seen the Great Lakes kit (I think that is what it is called).

It allows you to make a TF from a B tub. I hear they look very original, though I have not seen one in person.

Also, I will take the green one, Trevor. Hmmmm... better make it two in case I want to loan one to a friend.

Do you have any info on that Great Lakes kit? web site, phone number, etc.

Nawwww. I just saw a few on eBay a couple years ago and chatted with a few guys who had seen them.

But my dad has a buddy who is working on a custom made MG1100 (the 6cyl racer not the 60's econbox) replica. Next time I visit I will try to get some pics.

I've talked with the Cal Ace people & got their literature - nice kit...almost makes you want to go out & buy a rusty MGB!

Hmmm, do you really need another rusty MGB tony? I thought you had the market cornered!

I'm talking a rusty one that runs - oh, wait - I've got Ole Rusty, the '79 that has rust in every panel & a 90psi oil pressure engine!

There ya go! I haven't found anything about the kit yet... Anyone have a website link? Is it fibreglass or steel panels? I wanna see some pics!

Thanks! I've been searching since lastnight!

Wait, I've seen that one... I meant the great-lakes kit.

I really don't think the company that made the kit exists anymore. It seems like it said is much in the description of the car I saw on eBay. Also, I could have the name of the kit totally wrong. Me brain don't work like she used to.

It's kind of a Bigfoot think. My cousin's friend's nieghbor said he saw one.

Ahhhh, maybe we need to call mythbusters! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Wonder why they keep their web site active if they're out of business?

Calace prolly still is around, I was asking about the great-lakes TF kit.

I think our wires got crossed on this one /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Oh, Great Lakes went out of business several years ago!
