Interesting phone call

Just got a phone cal from a guy that lives about 25 miles south of me. He has five Bugeyes and a '69 Sprite in various stages of completion and condition. His intent was to build three cars from the six. He's found a '34 Ford Coupe that has won his heart and he now wants to liquidate the Sprites. I'm going to take a look at his inventory in the morning with camera in hand and will report my findings to this learned group tomorrow evening.

What a tease!

i might be interested in a bugeye bonnet if theres a salvageable one in the lot /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

That could be a very interesting trip!

Okay, here's the deal. This guys has four mostly complete Bugeyes, a 1969 Sprite and another 1275cc engine. He also has a Ford Popular, a Mini, two Rovers, a Henry J and a hand full of American junkers.

He wants to sell all the Sprites (five) and associated peices and parts in mass this week. His asking price for the lot is $5000. At present he's not willing to part them out.

Photos were tough to take. Three of the Bugeyes were in a poorly lit basement garage. The other Bugeye and the 1969 were outside. At any rate photos are attached. I'll try to answer any questions.

So in this 50th year, is it truly "The year of the Sprite?"
