IIRC, this is a redwood. Our old growth redwoods have been around that long. Some even longer. Our bristlecone pines have been around even longer than the redwoods.Didn't count them, but I doubt 1300+ rings in that tree.

I blame the tree for not providing a ring for that.And the guy who put the labels on the tree seems to have ignored that there were people in "America" thousands of years before the tree was there!
