Long story short, Mrs JP and I left the house today with the windows open and the AC on.

Got an email from my Nest Thermostat warning me that my AC might be broken as it was on but the temp went up. (also did suggest that we might have left a door or window open)

The wonders of Canada - if you don't like the weather wait five minutes. 54 F deg right now and heading to a high of 59.

Nest is one O them fancy dancy internetweb thermostats. Actually I do like that I can adjust the temp via my phone - especially useful of we are returning home from a trip.

We don't have much need for AC here in Pacifica.
And the heaters are useless so we just bundle up when we need it.

I was driving down the road last week and I got a text from my truck saying that I am approaching the time to change my fuel filter. Now that I know that the truck is watching me, I feel very different when driving.

I'm hoping car manufacturers fit a device that detects when a total tool is trying to work on their car that says>> 🤖 PUT THE TOOLS DOWN & STEP AWAY FROM THE CAR ...........................that should save a lot of silly posts. i wonder if that would work with the kitchen stove as well

Haha, my newest car is eligible for antique plates.
