My racing group is currently discussing the option of allowing Miatas into vintage racing!
(I think it would murder vintage racing.....and I'm a loyal Miata owner who still daily drives the 2000 Miata I bought new).
MX-5, which is the everywhere in the world other than the US name for what we call a Miata. Technically they're MX-5's here too. But the marketeers thought Americans needed a cutesy (IMHO, stupid) name added.
Also, most of the NA cars were called "Eunos Roadster" in Japan and Europe. I saw one badged that way in Ireland. (they dropped that name in the late 90s)
