Intake Trivia

Hello,
I have 3 log intake manifolds in front of me. Does anyone have any ideas on how to identify them? All three are for the twin SU HS2 carbs.

1.intake has AEA 634 on it. it does not have the grove in the intake holes for alignment, I think it is the original for my 1098 motor (1966 Sprite Mk3)

2. this intake is only half as deep as the others; it looks like the intake in Vizards book. The numbers on it 12A 661 P2 and AEG 347. I am very curious about what this intake originally fit. I think maybe a 998. I wonder if this intake would work better because it is only half as deep, fuel has less distance to travel.

3. intake has 12G 1451 on it, I think it is from my midget motor, 1275 dated around 1972.

I would take a picture but my daughter has left today with my USB cord, she left me her USB cord which of course is different.
Well what do you think?
Phil

I think 1098 and early 1275 manifolds are shaped a little different on the inside than late 1275 manifolds. But I may be wrong, and I do not know which is better.

AEA 634 is for an early Midget with a 948cc engine.

AEG 347 is for a Mini Cooper with a late 998CC engine.

12G 1451 is for a Midget MKIII 68-71 with a 1275cc engine.

Hi Ray,
thanks for the reply, where did you find the intake info. Just curious. I wonder how I ended up with a mini intake, I did have a mini briefly when I was 14, never did drive it. That was a while ago, my math is not very good.
Thanks Phil
