Me too BUT:
It is kept in a locked garage
No one with less than 10 years of driving experience can drive the car
The car may be driven up to 2500 miles per year (5000 mile limit is available for an addtional $5 per year)

But the above is no problem to me, but my son's don't like it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nopity.gif

I've got Hagerty. I never realized that the car had to be parked indoors, but they never gave me any trouble despite the fact that I got the insurance when I was only 18. As I recall, their sole qualifier was that you had to have a daily driver (therefore preventing daily use). The cost wasn't free, but their minimum agreed value was $5000 and with both my parents listed, it cost $125 a year, for the fourth year in a row. However, they gave my mother trouble when she tried to register the B as a classic and insure it since she was going to let my then 17 year old brother drive it occasionally. Now, I'm reasonably sure it wouldn't be a problem, but she ended up doing a regular registration for the sake of flexibility.

When I attempted to get antique tags/insurance for my Scout, we had difficulty getting the registration through because it has an original plow installed (with literature dated 1969) and we were unwilling to remove it because we use it to plow our own property. Liberty Mutual, our insurer for the other vehicles, quoted $650 for antique insurance, but liability only on the Scout for regular registration was only $300 per year. We ended up doing a regular registration and now I can drive it whenever I feel like it.

If you feel you want Hagerty or any other insurer that requires a garage, you might do as I did, if you have space available: I erected a 10'x14' storage shed in the back of my property, removed a couple of the front panels to allow 7' of entryway, then made and installed doors. I also had to make a small extension to the lower part of the wall directly in front of the front bumper to allow my doors to close completely. Does that sound like I'm cheap? How about retired on low income? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
