I just finished installing an ECU board in my 1990 xj6; when I reconnected the battery the instrument panel was dead. The gauges don't work along with the odometer, and the strange thing is that the lights do work whenever I turn the headlights. It worked fine before without any problems. is it possible that the ECU that I installed might be causing the problem? Any help? I have already checked the fuse and its fine

The 90 XJ6 can be a strange mix of 89/90 parts. Check the ECU parts number against what is specified for your VIN. Make sure that the parts number fits the array of matches.
