I'm installing the new water pump today and tomorrow. I had a couple (of) issues in the parts area. When I got the pump on there was an extra hole that I had to plug, so I got that done. The only bad thing is I need a long screw.
Is it safe to use the anti freeze, it's in a clean bucket and when I drained the car I drained it through a sieve to make sure there wasn’t anything in the fluid system, lucky from me there was not.
I put sealant on the gasket, but I can't use it tonight. C[/i]an I use it tomorrow or will I need to order a new gasket from the store?
I was wondering also, if, including the electric fans, if it would matter or help if I put the stock pulley and fan on the end of the pump to keep the engine keep even cooler. Or is that a bad idea, or pointless?
Wish me luck going to get the right bolt in the morning and have the new pulley in before I leave for church and then work.
Cheers,
Keenan Bash
