Installing seat coverings

Spring is here and it is time to get the girl back on the road. I have rebuilt the seats, POR'ed the frames, replaced the webbing and just have to install the leather I bought on Ebay last year...and have a few questions:

1) What kind of adhesive is used and where? Some of the information I have says the glue goes on the surface of the cushions in the joins of the back and bottom only?

2) I remember hearing about using plastic bags over the cushions while sliding the seat covering over them...does anyone know more about this trick?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Cover the foam in plastic bag or bags and slide into the proper seat cover or back. Pull plastic out, done.

The plastic allows the cover to slide not stick when inserting foam.

Only place I've ever used glue was to hold the cushions to the frames

garbage bag trick works great for pulling upholstery down over seats.
