I bought a Moss motors boot that covers the convertible top when it is down.I can't figure out how to make it fit. It seems to be too small. Also, my car has 4 snaps to hold it
on. I will really have to stretch it to make it work. Are there any tips in doing this?
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif With Shorn,Make that a HOT day. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Additionally, there are 9 snaps to fit the the hood cover.---Fwiw--Keoke- /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif
The only snaps/fasteners on the top boot that I have ever had to stretch to make fit are the three snaps inside across the back, just above the rear seat back. And the only reason those can be a stretch is if the top is not folded neatly with the material folded properly to avoid interference.
Where/which snaps are the problem? Sounds like it could be more than a hot-summer-day is needed.
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonono.gif Nope! You not spot on today Editor Reid.---Keoke- /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonod.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
However, if you close the 5 inside fasteners first its a bit of an easier go for the remaining 4 outside ones--Keoke
I also need to know where the snaps hook on that are on the inside of the cover near the back seats. Do I put the posts on the upholstered side panels? My side panels are new and do not have any posts on them.
Thanks,
Larry
Yes 67BJ8, the studs mount to the panel just behind the rear of the front seats. You might look behind the panel and see if the locating holes have been punched in?.--Fwiw-Keoke
