Installing a rear bumper guard??????

I have a rear guard to install on my 72 TR6. Looks like I may have to remove the bumper to install. Anyone have experience with these? Is there a short cut or something I am over looking? The mounting holes are there. Just looks like a bigger job than the 4 bolts.

Suggestions??

No..... it's the chrome bar that goes across the back. Moss now offers them but I already had this one and got it re-chromed. Just finished with new tail light lenses and looking for some shortcut. It's got to be easier than it appears.

About the only shortcut to mount those bars is use a self tapping sheetmetal screw that is big enough to tighten up in the existing holes. If the mounting holes are real big, try a spring loaded nut. Otherwise you need long and skinny fingers.

I was afraid of that. Was wondering if it would be easier if you removed the bumper. Going to put it on a lift and see what gives.
