TR6 Installation of Delrin steering column bushings

I decided to go with the Delrin steering column bushings that have the flanges on them. I have a 69, and my directions say that these can be installed without removing the steering column tube. I have the inner short steering wheel shaft that connects to the coupler near the firewall out. I don't bend as well as I used to, and am not crazy about pulling things apart any further.
Does anyone have any tips on how to do this before I proceed any further?

Thanks for the website. I have been there before and forgot about it. My bushings are different than those shown on the Danielson website. Mine are the new upgraded bushings with the flanges on the ends. After I thought about it a while, I think I can make my installation even simpler. I had easy access to the side in the engine bay. I was able to put the top bushing in through the turn indicator opening. I glued both in last night and will be reinstalling today. I will let you know how it goes.
