Installation of BJ8 trunk lining

I have started to install the trunk lining in my BJ8. I am using a Moss kit and have the installation video. The video makes it look easy, but I am finding that most of the supplied panels don't fit very well at all. Is this typical, or is it just me. The video, also, kind of skips through the installation of the panels that are on either side of the gas tank. I can't figure out how they fit in and if I am to glue them. Also, does the wiring always lay behind or under the panels? The video says that it takes about 1 1/2 hours, but I have spent more time than that trying to figure out how to make the panels fit.

I just completed this project on my BJ7 last weekend. Used a Moss kit. The pieces fit reasonably well, although some final trimming was necessary. I had completely gutted my boot, i.e. trunk, prior to installation and the job still took two days off-and-on. There was down time to allow certain pieces, or portions of the larger piece to set up, but if you take your time and dry fit everything first, the pieces seem to fall in place.

The vertical panels are glued, the horizontal panels just laid in.

Wiring goes under the horizontal panels & over the vertical panels. At the back, below the lid, the lining is tucked under the wiring.
