Install Bugeye dash in my 67 Midget

I have the dash out of my 67 Midget and have a spare Bugeye Dash. What mods will it require to install the older dash into my 67 Midget? It doesn't appear that the holes will align. I can build the bottom supports... that's not a problem. Should I disconnect the the steering shaft at the rack unit and pull the steering shaft from out of the tube or just remove the steering wheel?
