Inital Door Fit and A-Post

Trying to do door fitment before A Post welding. I know this is a trial and error process but can I:

1) Get the door to fit initially with Vent Window in place and Windshield bolted in.

I'm not sure how much adjustment is available for Vent Window and Windshield.

Right now my door panel gaps are such that top back of door is right up against the body but it appears that vent window is against the windshield frame prohibiting me from moving the door forward so I can get proper door gaps.

Anyone got some quick advice this afternoon?

First question: Is the car on jack stands and if so, where are they placed?

Second question: Is the gap of the windscreen pillar to vent window frame the same?

The windscreen itself has a lot of adjustability. The vent window a little bit.

get your door gaps correct based on the door gaps themselves, and work out the windscreen gap later. BUT... be sure the car is flexed because of Jack stand placement.

Trevor,

Can is on wheels so chassis flex is not the issue. I'll loosen the windshield bolts and take off the door panel so I can get at the hinge bolts and loosen those up. At this point just trying fpr general fit of hte door so I can think about tacking the A-Post. Not going to happen today but thinking about door gross fit and dimensions.

Gap on door frame to windshiled is about hte same BTW.
