infinite spot welds

Why is it when you think that you've found all the spot welds that there is always one more, and, it's in a place where the drill won't reach? Also I find it very interesting the places where mice and wasps can find to build thier nests. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cutting them out, you say?

Try sanding them in preparation for new paint. Have you looked at a wheel opening lately? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I tend to agree that they were paid by the weld. Must be 40 in each wheel opening lip and at least that many under the thresholds.

How many pieces of sandpaper does it take to expose the metal of a 13 foot long car?

Heard from one of our local mechanics that there is something close to 174 spot welds per side holding the floor pans and sills in place.. I guess he counts every time he does it
