MGB "Indicator lamps"

On the 1965 MGB I'm trying to confirm the correct distance from the edge of the radiator grille (opening) to the inside edge of the front indicator lights. I'm hoping a 1965 MGB (or earlier) owner can take a measurement and post it to this thread. I have seen pictures of later year versions (1969) of the MGB that clearly show the indicator lamps are closer to the radiator grille. Thanks!

For those who might like to know I found out what the dimension should be, it's 2-7/8"
