Indicator / Horn Switch

Hi. Stripping down my indicator / horn switch to refurb it and I have manage to lose the white nylon plunger. It has a small spring behind it. On the SC website they call it a operating piston.

Can anybody help?

Wow! £114 for that?! I didn't recall it because I don't recall taking it out. Anyway, you might try Curtis Arndt, who restores trafficators as a hobby:

If you haven't already seen the attached technical page from Healey6.com, it is a very helpful detailed 'how to' on rebuilding trafficators.

Great photos of all the bits involved, and may help you see what it is that you are missing. I also don't remember any white nylon parts so not sure what you are missing.

None of the ones I've torn down or rebuilt have that piece as nylon or plastic.
Early ones are brass, later ones are steel.
Are you sure you're looking for the right piece?

Seems incredibly expensive but in any case I'll second Bob's suggestion that you contact Curt. I sent him my trafficator for a resto and he did a great job on it.

Sounds like the articulating cancelling 'pins' are in backwards.
