Indiana Jones

Took the wife on a date last night to see it. I won't give the plot away (and please don't anyone else), but I will say it was not the best Indiana Jones movie by a long shot in my humble opinion. Frankly I was disappointed. Kids would probably love it.

I saw it yesterday and I agree with you. It wasn't hokey enough in the special affects department, and way too hokey in pretty much every other dept. IMHO Indian Jones means wax faces melting not CG.

It was good to see Karen Allen again, and Shia LeBeof was good for his part. Cate Blanchett was good too. She plays so many different characters in the movies she does. Was it the best Indy movie? No, but it was a fun leave your worries at the door way to spend a few hours.

I dunno, Karen Allen reminds me of my wife. I care for her a lot but wouldn't put her in a movie at her age. Kinda over the hill.

I thought the movie was a real yawner. My wife (my Karen Allen) and my son kept punching me in the ribs to keep me awake.

I guess if one ant is good, then sixty zillion ants are better.

Harrison is getting tired, really tired.

Odd, I quite enjoyed it. I thought they got in references to the other movies quite well - the half revealed ark for instance. The ending wasn't to my taste, but the rest of it was entertaining.

Completely mindless, so a perfect way to spend two hours in fact...

I tried to enjoy it but it just failed for me. It totaly lost it when mutt when flying through the trees like tarzan with the monkeys and it went down hill rapidly from there.

I think the biggest problem with this series in modern times are all the other movies that have come along since the original 3 indiana jones and in a lot of ways are similar. The ant scene sure seamed like the scorpion scene in the mummy.

What ever happend to the idea to having a good story in a movie?

I thought it was Steven's tongue in cheek way of saying Goodbye to Indy....

A good entertainment if you go in not having any expectations...

DON'T TELL ME ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS IN IT!!!!! heck, now I know almost everything that happens - why go?!?

Edited: & I didn't type "heck"!

Right, definitely don't have any expectations. I really enjoyed the first 3 (the first two more), but this was was - well, it just didn't float my boat, but everyone's taste in entertainment is different.

All I expect from films like this is a couple hours of entertainment - stupid or not - just entertainment & relaxation....these type films aren't designed to have big earth shattering messages or social focus & I don't go in expecting them to (& to go into one expecting something more than stupid entertainment is naive!)...but when everybody tells you all the things that are gonna happen during the course of the film, there's not even any entertainment value left.

WELL, DON"T TELL ME ANYMORE!!

I wonder if they bought BenGay by the case when filming this picture? Made me feel young, sorta. It's always fun to fantasize about a leading lady. Not here. Just gotta roll over in the morning to see that.

I did; and the swinging through the trees scene, and and and...

Tony - they haven't told much of anything yet - go see it!

There's plenty that wasn't covered.
Don't worry...
you know, taken out of context, that statement can be good or bad... given the age ranges of the ladies in this film :confuse:
