That's the year I got my first MGB. Two-year-old car, paid the same price as that Jag. :rolleyes:
 
In the late 1960s I went out looking for a XK120 bit at 250.00 pounds it was too much for my budget so someone said to look at the TR2. I got my first TR2 for 150.00 pounds.
It was Rotten with rust. I think the floor mats were all that kept my feet off the road.

No one today believes those prices. Try this one. In the early 1940s, the Park Row restaurant had a three-course lobster dinner. Shrimp Cocktail appetizer, whole lobster, corn on the cob and coffee. Guess how much?
