In regard to positioning the clutch slave cylinder Randall replied to this post as follows "because of the thicker TR6 bell housing flange.....a better solution might be to beat flat the flywheel cover and move the bracket to the front of the flange and clutch slave (aka TR6)" So the flywheel cover (Inspection plate) has one side that is indented and normally the indented side is mounted to the transmission so there is clearance between the ring gear and the cover. By beating the cover flat would that not flatten the indents needed to keep some clearance between the ring gear and the cover and they would be more prone to rub against each other? What am I missing here?
