It was one thing to see Chevron, Toyota, HP, SpaceX, Tesla, Oracle, Charles Schwab, and all of the other big companies move out of California. Now things have gotten serious. In and Out Burger has announced that they are also jumping ship and moving. This could be the end.

I just hope that the last one to leave remembers to turn out the lights.

My wife is a vegetarian so I don't get much beef at home.
There is only one place I know I can get an outstanding burger.
It's a cafe in San Mateo close to where most of my Doctor offices are.
When I'm done getting my blood work done I always go there.
 
In-N-Out Burger isn't leaving California, only the owner, granddaughter Lynsi Snyder. In-N-Out is expanding toward the East Coast.

If they forget to, it'll only be a few hours until a rolling black out shuts them off.
 
Like the other companies, In and Out will still have stores in California but they are moving the corporate headquarters and all of the staff employees out of state along with the taxes that they pay here. Not a big surprise given the business atmosphere in the state. I can understand that some folks do not like business and big companies in particular. My concern is with who will be left to pay for everything. California is losing around 1,000 people per day as people flee the high cost of living combined with the highest taxes in the country.

Californians need to shop locally that means don't go to fast food chains.
I don't get my drugs from Walgreens, CVS or Rite-Aid.
I stopped getting my Fried chicken from the Colonel and get my Rx from an independent pharmacy.
Burgers are better at small cafes.
 
Somehow I think that the problem is about more than just a burger, but that implies politics and we all get enough of that from everywhere these days. Let's not spoil this forum by going there.

Absolutely, I feel closer to humanity when the people who work at these places engage me in conversation.
It's not just "do you want fries with that".
My pharmacist will call me to tell me they are going to be closed for holidays, or is something is out of stock.
At the chain stores I can't even get a human on the phone.
