WARNING: There is a well-known type of forum scam using the Direct Message system (aka Private messages).
The scammer, (usually a new member) will register and see that someone is looking for a part. The scammer will send a direct message to the BCF member and say something like "Hey, I see you need a (part). Try contacting bilbo1256@gmail(dot)com - he has one!
Then, the BCF member emails "Bilbo" and the scam is put into action. The member sends Bilbo money for the part and never hears from Bilbo again (who is probably sitting in a scammer center in India). If you ever get a Direct Message from a new, unestablished member, and he just gives you an email address of someone who he claims has the part you need - your alarm bells should start ringing. Sometimes they will claim that their friend is a member on BCF and they will actually mention that member, but the email address will not actually be that forum member's.
