I was in College and at home resting on the couch when my neighbor called to tell me that Lennon had been shot. He would have been 85 today. (By the way, Paul McCartney was here in town a couple days ago. I tried, but failed, to get tickets. They sold out very fast.)

I was in a Disco/Mexican restaurant/bar in San Jose CA.
Normally it was extremely noisy.
When someone saw it on the TV, the entire place went quiet.
No one had to shush anyone, we were all shocked.
I still am.
 
I was a couple of weeks away from being born when Lennon was shot, so I didn't react.

I thought you were going to say you didn't have the 50K a seat his tickets are currently going for.
