For those folks watching the Weather Channel and all the stuff on the news about Lock 2 failing in Pearl River know what I'm talking about. My afformentioned Grandmother lives on that canal. Folks haver been going nuts around there. I just got back home and I'm beat! It looked a bit hairy for a while but all is well. This is what happnes when nobody does what they are supposed to. The Corp of Engineeers walked away from the Locks years ago and no one was at the wheel to open the valves. The pressure is being bled off now and it's no longer being topped.

The only tidal wave we experienced was of law enforcement and mass hysteria.

I guess you could call it a pseudonami.

Is it still raining, Billy?

Nope, been done long ago. River is higher than I've ever seen since I moved in here 8 years ago. Places here flooding that never have before. All the other rain from up north draining back is the problem. The river has been higher in the past, however; katrina storm damage (downed trees) and new storm protection is an unknown factor. This storm is the litmus test.

Darn you Entropy! Clouds gathering and thunder rolling as we speak. :wall:

Whydoncha ask me 'bout some winnin' lot'ry numbers.

Billy, seems to me you won the lottery by coming through it unscathed
