Ever consider buying a later model midget or sprite an putting a speedwell bugeye bonnet on it?

I'm too much of an originality guy for that--I'd always be wishing I had the original. Also, I'm looking for a keeper. I'm at a point in life where I'm old enough (33) to appreciate these cars, but young enough that I don't have kids yet. My crazy music schedule over the last year has grown a respectable car fund. This is my chance to do this, before I have to worry about feeding, clothing, and educating the little tikes. I'm trying very hard to do this right.
Smiles per miles--that sums it up perfectly. As a motorcyclist, I can get the open-air motoring experience any time. I'm looking for happy driving, and I keep coming back to a Bugeye no matter how much I get distracted. That is probably the only constant in my year and a half of car searching. Must mean something.
Thanks again for all the good advice here (and in the thread in Triumphs). I've read through them a number of times.
