I'm still alive!!

I'm guessing (hoping) some of you noticed I've been away for oooh, at least 3 weeks. I've been so busy I just haven't had the time or energy to get on here and keep up to date.
The Sprites are sat doing squat while I'm flat out, I can't find anyone with the beans to sort the bodywork on Rosie, and Baby Bertha is tucked away in the garage.
I've decided to narrow my collection of cars a bit, so my daily driver has gone, and I'm now bombing around town in the BMW again (probably not the best idea as petrol is now at ÂŁ1 per litre... that's over $9 a gallon for you guys in the colonies!!!). It's nice to be back in comfort but it'll be the next to go.
The other BMW will follow it, and if I still haven't found someone to sort Rosies bodywork I shall probably sell her too.
Still aiming to get Baby Bertha sorted in time for the 50th in May, although with the first snow yesterday I'm gonna have to sort some heat for the garage if I'm spending more than 5 minutes in there!

Good to see you back. Heat in the garage is an important thing. Even a small space heater can prove useful if your space is insulated well enough.

As much as I'd love to have a few LBCs around, I'm definitely best with just one at a time. Gives at least some hope that I'll get it finished in my lifetime. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Ha, just count on a long long life Drew.

Hi, how are you Pete! I was thinking about you the other day. I may or may not get a chance to go across the pond for the company I work for. I forget where you live but I would be going into a place called barton upon Humber in the North of lincolnshire on the Yorkshire border, not too far from York. its still up in the air right now, but I am politicking to get there.

I'm still young, Jack, though I'm catching up to you every day. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Pete,
Fancy a pint?
I'll be in N.Wales between 27/12/07 and 04/01/08, and I'll between there and Birmingham on the odd days (Villa game on new years day, shopping before that).
You're buying, the exchange rate is already killing me; Stella please. Ta.

Glad to see (read) you again. I did notice another post of yours yesterday. I'll bet if you really want to get rid of Rosie that you could figure out how to send it to Denmark. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

BTW, gasoline is also the same price here in the land of swans. though I calculate "only" $7.81 per gal.

I tell you, I'm glad to use a bike daily. It's only 10 km each way so I get a good morning and afternoon exercise. The lbcs are only for fun on the weekend. (and they don't even run)

Kim: I'm a fair way from York, from memory I'd say about 3 hours. 4 if you stick to the speed limits...
Baz: If you're coming down past Oswestry and along the M54 to get to the Villa games I'm 5 minutes off your route. If you're taking the M6 down to B'ham then I'm almost an hour out of your way. If you want to meet up for a pint it's no problem; I won't be working between xmas and new years so I should have some spare time for a change!

My hangout is Llwyngwril (west coast), a stright line between Brum, Shrewsbury and there. M54/A5/A458 is the normal route for me; gimme a town name so I know my bearings.

Piece of cake, I can see the A458 from upstairs! I'm 1 mile west of Ford.

I'm wavin' from Florida! Can ya see me, Pete? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Not from upstairs, I'll try from the roof...
