Hi, I just registered and thought I would introduce myself. My name is Tristan (but you can call me mediahound /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif) and I am looking to gain purchase of a new Mini Cooper S 2007 or 2008 (I'm giving myself an entire year to decide on all the options which I currently know very little about and to save up so hopefully I can pay cash for the car!).
I feel like the Cooper S is a lot of agility for the money considering how expensive 'sports' cars are these days. I'm really looking forward to having a 'drivers' car and also sharing in the Mini heritage which I've frankly only lately become interested in.
I'm not a Britsh car zealot though. I currently drive a 2000 Honda Civic Si, previously had a VW Corrado VR6, prior to that I had nameless and numerous other Japanese cars in addition to a Honda Elite scooter.
I currently have lotsa general questions like should I buy a 2007 or 2008? What color and pattern and options should I go for? What is the buying process like? It seems like the customization options when buying a new Mini are endless and so maybe others can learn something too, via my questions.
At any rate, I'm rambling now but I wanted to introduce myself and say 'hi' as a first step.
