I live near San Francisco. I have a 1989 5.3 xjs.
I have rebuilt the v-12, redid the engine management
wiring.runs sweet.
I am removing the turbo 400 trans out on sunday, one week
on rebuild. Hope to wrap it up Sunday next.
The engine is clean to the point my friends say just put
in the corner of the garage and set a light facing it ,
just make a shrine of it. When the v12 was attached to the
tranny almost ready to go in it sat center front of garage,
I was happily surprized how many people would drive by and
slow way way down and oogle. I know they were thinking what
the heck is that thing. I try to reflect on those kind of
good moments when Im lying under the car trying to reach
some part, forget about the affixed nut or bolt holding
said offensive part on. As I said I'll be pulling out
the tranny this weekend and Im feeling that uneasiness
already in my stomach. How many times will I say. " Are
you serious, thats how they that or this. But Im hooked
on my jag, the driving experience and so many other things.
So I will continue along five miles above speedlimit
