the vinyl seat cover for a 1975 MGB. Black. Basically I only need the bottom seat part, not the back or headrest. Emma's had a small rip that's now 12" long. I've looked & tried everything including ebay. I really don't want to spend $300 for a complete set from Moss when all I need is the butt cushion cover.

IF anyone has it and wants to part with it, please get with me okay???!!!

Thanks!

I'm sure you meant black duct tape, not the silver kind. Personally I'd go with one of those sheepskin seat covers, or the taxicab bead thing.

I doubt you'll find just a seat cushion cover floating around, as stuff like that is usually sold on as a set. Is the tear in a seam, or right in the middle of the cushion?

alternatively, get some of them fancy schmancy fitted cloth seat covers that Moss sells. They're expensive for seat covers, but they fit the seats like a glove. I love mine. My rear doesn't hafta burn on the vinyl in the summer anymore.

The tear is right along the edge of the black piping on the seat bottom, not exactly a 'seam.' I am going to run up to the place that made all the vinyl bags for me & see what he thinks he can do.

No tape, no seat covers - yet anyway. Definitely no tape. There can be only ONE "Duct Tape Special."

I have 4 inch tear in the same spot on the driver's seat. My seat guy said he could repair it for about $75. It looks like the seam, but its actually right under the piping. You might try an upholstery place and see if they can skin it and repair it.

Cheap. The operative word here is cheap. I could buy an entire new vinyl set for less than that. It's for Emma, my driver, not some concours car in the geeraj.

Geez...I thought i was helping and forgot to duck!

Have you tried looking for someone who does boat canvas and upholstery, Janel? Gotta be boat shops in your area.
