I'm just gonna change the brake and clutch lines from the can to the brake and clutch cylinders.
Well there was a small leak and the paint was bubbled a little, so I removed the brake and clutch cylinders and the peddle assembly to get at the piece that the whole assembly bolts to. Removed it all and striped the paint off. If I remember right that piece that the assembly bolts to is supposed to be black. If that is right what paint should I use that will stand up to brake fluid? I don't want to wait to have powder coated.
 
DOT5 will save the paint, not aware of any paint that will stand-up to brake fluid except some specialized paint from Eastwood which are meant for brake MCs.
 
Dan, I had the master cylinder bracket and reservoir power coated. When I reassembled both systems the rebuilt brake master sprayed fluid. I wiped it up but no damage then and none to date. You just have to take the rubber seal out of the reservoir top before they power coat. John
 
Mornin Dan, I went with the DOT5, But then I have a whole new system so I didn't have to worry about flushing out the system. The bracket is black.

Thanks guys. I just painted the box gloss black with a Napa frame and suspension paint. I have a spare box that I will have powder coated some time soon. The black looks nice with the chrome headed bolts
