I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas....

Since I posted last night, we've gotten about 8 stinking inches of the nasty white stuff, and it's still coming!
Drat, I hate winter.
Jeff

gah.

All we're getting is 'drizz' ATM. Temp dropped overnight, now low 60's. Positively nice in comparison to snow and arctic temps.

Thanks for the photo Tom,

A Christmas package from our friends near Madison
just arrived this morning. So your photo was a big
help to help visualize our friends' surroundings.

Here are some photos from a few minutes ago. Sun broke
thru the winter storm deluge for a bit. Life is a
challenge wherever one lives!

felicidades !

Jeff,

I'm still setting up my new internet computer.
I'm on my work machine which dumped you into the
trash bin.

Pulled you back out just now.

What a hoot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I remember why I live in the tropics!!

BTW:
Almost Amos is still going and going and going-
without a break down. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Drove by young previous
owner Peter's home this morning. Gave him the usual
digit salute. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

We got about 1" (2.5 cm) last night.

That won't even stop the Miata. Goin' out shopping this morning.

With Blizzaks I think the main concern is ice and the air dam turning into a snowplow.

We've got about 10 inches here and counting.
This is the worst storm this year, so far.
On the bright side, may have our first White Christmas for awhile.
May have to go get a sled and team of puppies to get out!

I vote fer th' last option, Dave. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Me too! I'm think about just driving the Volvo for a few laps around the circle drive, and waiting for someone to come through with a plow later.
I don't play in this stuff.

It got a bit sloppy here... total of maybe 5 inches, with a patch of freezing rain about noon or so. But nothing major.
Seems I got the plow hooked up just in time! I've used it here at home 2 times, and did the church lot this morning. I wonder if this is a taste of a winter the likes of which we haven't seen for many a year?

Could you build me one of those to cover my acre? As a free demo, of course! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif I just have to know where in New Mexico you are. We're in Tijeras and at about 6500 feet. I took Agatha out today, top down. It was about 20 but with driving gloves, jacket, hat and engine heat it was simply grand. Agatha's temp was at 160. Actually drove to Basil's neck of the woods and just had to go to Mickey D's.
If the truth be know I prefer to drive in the 'cold' instead of the hot weather.

I'll look forward to your answer as to location. Just curious if you are in the area.

We had about 10 inches at 3 PM plowed for 2 hours and now we have 2 more on the ground and it has turned back to snow after a mix of sleet and rain for a bit. this isn't going to be pretty....

Been to Ruidoso. It's a great area. Too bad you couldn't join us for a Healey club meeting. We hold them on the second monday of the month and of late at the Standard Diner in Albuquerque. We would love to meet you.

This is about all the snow we have around Calgary these days...

And not much more expected before Christmas, still relatively cold winter weather around here though.

Oh yeah, anyone want a 1950 Chevy project car? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
