Friends in Philly area (Allentown) had to pass up the hockey game last eve 'cause of the "preview" weather ahead of that THING. Ice and slurry on the roads. ugh. Another pal is currently on the road from here to Maine towing a HUGE trailer. He'll likely be right in the middle of it for miles.
I'll stick with decorating palm trees for Christmas.

Banjo;
When your done your driveway, just slip over to my place and do my drive. I'll buy the beer.
It's only 4-5 hours away, and 1 country, and 1 border, and 1 tank of gas (each way), but what the heck, it's a story you could tell for years.
Dave
No problem Dave, But in my Jeep that maxes out safely at about 50 mph (Dunno about it with the plow on front)
And only gets 10 MPG on a good day with no choke and no giant metal wall in front, and has a 11 gallon tank......
I think it's take about 5 tanks and 7 hours each way.
Billy Muggings here is in that shaded area called 'Heavy Snow Likely'.
There's already 4" and expecting another 4".....
I'm going to Christmas Shopping!!!!
Stay safe all, enjoy the snow.
We are lucky, only two inches predicted by tomorrow morning. But that will put us over 2 feet in the last three weeks along with a couple of ice storms. And it is still all here. Ready for a spring thaw!
Maybe I'm speaking too early, but all we've had so far is a several days of rain, hard at times. Skys are beautiful clear now and 5 deg C https://www.dmi.dk/dmi/index/danmark/radar.htm
Christmas shopping is easy now, the roads are fine, not too much traffic and even the stores aren't too packed. I wish I had more time to work on the Sprite.
I live in Toronto Ontario Canada and they say over the next 24 hrs we are going to get blasted. They say just over 1 foot of the white stuff. We are ready beer and fuel for garage furnace. Let it snow. If we get enought I will unload a sled and go for a rip down the street.
It's 9pm and 76° outside. Supposedly going to have severe thunderstorms tonight, damaging winds, heavy rain, yada yada. 60s tomorrow...then the lows in the low-mid 30s and 55 during the day on Monday.
18" of the wretched stuff on the ground now, been snowing all day. Since December 1st when we had our first snowfall, none of it has melted, so we keep getting accumulations, with only a day or two between snowfalls.
I'm dreaming of a nice sunny warm christmass and by tomarrow evening I should be in the right place to enjoy it. Going to be nice to see a sea of nice blue water vs. the sea of white that I've been living with the last month. Going to be 80 degrees warmer to /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
I've been up and down for hours because of the constant Tornado warning updates. Last night they promised the chance of 1" hail and 70mph winds plus the chance of tornados. The 80-85° weather we've had the last few days, high humidity, remnants of TS Olga, and a cold front are all coming to a head. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 55-60° and I can't wait!
