Vacation was wonderful. Perfect. But too short! I'm moving to the Dominican and selling beads on the beach.

We're going to Michigan for the Summer Revival, August 18-21st. It's a 7 hour (or so) road trip. The inaugural road trip for the B. I want to replace hoses and belts in advance. Which ones? Anything else?

Also, that cardboard underdash thingy that covers the electricals etc? It's breaking up on me. Can I buy a replacement for that at Moss?

If it's time to replace engine hoses, you may as well replace the rubber fuel lines as well. It's easy to forget about the lines in the fuel pump area. I'd also check the brake hoses for bulging or cracking. Welcome back! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Of course we missed you. Was just hoping that all worked out well with your vacation. From your short account it seems it did.

Glad to have you back. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yes, you can buy the underdash covers from Moss, only they are now made of ABS plastic I ordered one a few months ago...I think it was around $45.00......but don't quote me on that....Not as simple as it looks to install either try to mark the screw holes with chalk as you remove the old one so you can find em` when it's time to put the new one in.

Welcome back,Jaybird. Glad to see the storms didn't bite you!
Where are you going to be in Michigan? I'm about 45 miles northwest of Detroit.

Welcome back!!! I second Steve's recommendation of changing the fuel line hoses. Forgot about the ones at the fuel pump myself about a year ago. Luck for me, they failed in my own garage.

If any doubt, replace it!!!

Thanks, Jaybird. Grand Rapids is about a 90 minute drive for me. I don't know if I'll make it to the party this year or not, as the work schedule is pretty hectic right now.

Well, as it gets closer, keep it in mind. We'll get up there LBC Gods willing, some time mid-late afternoon on Thursday the 18th. Staying at Exel I think it's called. If I remember correctly, there were 3-400 MGs there last year.

WELL, I'm not trying to start anything, but while YOU were gone the Triumph page passed the MG page in number of threads posted. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

Hmm a lot of 'rumphy breakdowns while I was gone? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Have fun! Seeing all those MGs around town is what turned me on to them to begin with. University Motors is an unassuming little shop out on Fulton Street outside of Ada (just down the street from Amway world headquarters) where some of the highest quality MG work in the country is done.
