nice to be back! Car show tomorrow in Howell, NJ. The Grand National is in the shop so we're going to try the 78 MGB this weekend. She's been sitting idle since I changed her fuel tank and pump last year (thanks to all of those who helped...couldn't have done it without you!). Looks like the MGB left some oil on the ground after sitting awhile and I just realized I have had this car 5 years, only drive it maybe 100 miles tops and never had an oil change! So, tomorrow is flush out the old oil and in with the new! Any recommendations on oil type for this old beauty? Also, would it be 4 quarts?

had the pelasure of getting the last tail light and side marker working tonight! Just a small amount of wiring and WOO WOO! good to go! Taking her out on a night spin for gas. Am I doomed????!! hahah..

best,
BJ

Welcome back, BJ.

Can't go wrong with Castrol 20/50. And I put in 3 quarts, let it sit a bit then run the starter to fill the filter, and add as necessary - usually between a half and 3/4 quart.

Welcome back! :savewave:

Given your limited driving any good 20/50 should work. I use Valvoline VR1 for the higher ZDDP content.

I bow down to the experts!! As always, thank yuo gentlemen!
